Small dignities make a big difference for women in need.
Most of us can’t imagine having to choose between buying food and buying the sanitary items you need to manage your period. But for many women who are homeless, at-risk or experiencing domestic violence this is their reality.
Now, more than ever, it's important to look out for those in our community who are the most vulnerable.
For the third year running, we are partnering with Share the Dignity – a charity that is making a difference by supplying thousands of sanitary items to women in need annually, in addition to campaigning for justice for women.
Their collection drives and campaigns make a real difference on the ground with volunteers collecting hundreds of thousands of period products (pads, tampons and sanitary items) to distribute to women and girls experiencing homelessness fleeing domestic violence.
Active Truth will again create a limited edition printed tight to raise money and make a difference to the lives of women and girls in Australia experiencing period poverty. For every tight sold we'll donate $10 which can purchase four period packs containing pads and tampons.
This year our Move for Dignity tights will be released in August as part of Move4Dignity — incorporating the Yoga4Dignity and Run4Dignity events — which will run virtually in 2020 if they are unable to fundraise in person.
