How much bigger to buy tights when pregnant?

How much bigger to buy tights when pregnant?

We receive many questions from customers about what size to buy in maternity tights. With all the changes your body goes through when pregnant it can be confusing to know whether to wear your pre-pregnancy size or buy clothes that are larger to accommodate your bump.

Our maternity leggings are designed to accommodate a growing bump from first trimester through to full term — and postpartum thanks to our shape retention fabric. So you’ll want to ensure you get a perfect fit around your thighs and hips. When your tights fit properly here they won’t ever sag or roll down.

The best way to check your size is to take your hip measurement. Run a tape measure around the widest part of your hips. If you’ve got a pregnant belly already you might need someone to give you a hand so the tape measure is flat and straight around. If the tape dips you’ll measure larger than you actually are. Compare your measurement to the size guide to determine which size of pregnancy tights to buy.

If you don’t have a tape measure you can go by your pre-pregnancy size, although this is less accurate than using a measuring tape. Because our tights have room to grow in the waistband you don’t need to get a larger size. However if you are unsure or inbetween sizes then we recommend that you size up.

We want you to experience the amazing comfort and support that our maternity tights provide. So if you receive your Active Truth order and the size isn’t right we offer free exchanges.
